Job Description

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Engineer to join our team in Port Arthur, United States. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards across our production facilities.

Develop and implement production strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivityAnalyze production data and processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reductionDesign and oversee the implementation of quality control systems and proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement solutionsLead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologiesManage production projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherenceEvaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to improve production capabilitiesEnsure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all production activitiesMentor and train junior engineers and production staff on best practices and new technologiesPrepare and present detailed reports on production performance, efficiency metrics, and improvement initiatives

 

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred)Minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering or a related fieldProven track record of implementing process improvements and cost-saving measuresStrong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologiesProficiency in software and production planning toolsExperience with quality control systems and continuous improvement initiativesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approachStrong project management abilities and experience leading cross-functional teamsProficient in data analysis and report preparationKnowledge of industrial safety standards and environmental regulations in manufacturingSix Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment
