Job Description

Position Summary:

Are you an experienced and technical laboratory sales professional who enjoys helping customers achieve their clinical, operational and financial goals? If you are, then this is the role for you! As a Senior Product Specialist-Specialty Diagnostics, you will be responsible for selling diagnostic capital equipment and consumables to our healthcare partners.  In this role, you will partner with our Fisher Healthcare selling team and customers, driving revenue growth within a defined territory for our innovative Specialty Diagnostics portfolio.  This role requires focus on finding new business and rapidly growing our current customer testing needs.

Key Responsibilities: 

Deliver an outstanding customer experience passionate about supporting our customers with their laboratory goalsSupport multiple sales representatives by providing information specific to our diagnostics portfolio, including technical information/presentations, product recommendations for customer applications, and other technical supportProspecting new customers and opportunities in addition to growing our existing customer portfolioExecute the sales cycle and process in a manner that drives results, professional, ethical, persuasive and leads the customer to actionDevelop, present and implement sales strategies and plans to expand business within assigned territory using Salesforce and other CRM tools for effective customer and business strategy managementContinuously improve knowledge of the clinical chemistry, immunoassay and microbiology market, its trends and our competitorsIndependently make decisions while using available resources to meet customer needsTeam oriented - work with a cross-functional team of supplier and internal partnersPositively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum of 5+ years of healthcare sales, medical device, or capital equipment sales, preferably in Clinical DiagnosticsBachelor’s degree required, preferably in the sciences, M.S. preferredExcellent interpersonal, collaboration, communication, and negotiation skillsExperience in presenting complex information both verbally and writtenProven track record of sales performanceMust be willing and able to travel 50% of the timeDemonstrate the Thermo Fisher values (The Four I’s) – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
