We are looking for a Senior Web Product Manager to join us in this mission, someone who is excited to build the digital experiences that bring music, news, and companionship to a quarter of a billion monthly listeners.
As a Senior Product Manager – Web Platform you will be responsible for continuing to create incredible experiences for millions of our daily users and pushing our existing products forward, assisting in ongoing management of the iHeartRadio Web Platform at all stages of the product lifecycle, and leveraging research and analytics to determine new opportunities for improvement or innovation. You’ll identify and act on emerging trends to ensure our web platform remains ahead of user expectations and competitive threats. As a key member of the digital team, you will also be actively involved in architectural discussions across the organization. Developing applications in a dynamic environment requires a focus on creative open-ended thinking to solve complex business and user needs. You’ll also lead cross-platform product initiatives, ensuring cohesive experiences across web, mobile, and connected devices.
What You'll Do:
Define, own, and communicate the product roadmap for the iHeart web platform, ensuring it aligns with key business goals.
Serve as the 'voice of the customer,' championing their needs across the organization by deeply understanding listener pain points and motivations.
Own and meticulously manage the product backlog, balancing short-term fixes with long-term strategic improvements and ensuring all user stories are detailed, unambiguous, and ready for engineering.
Utilize quantitative data from tools like Amplitude and qualitative insights from user research to define success metrics, validate hypotheses through A/B testing, and make data-informed prioritization decisions.
Translate the product roadmap into clear and concise Product Overview Documents (PODs) and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria. Be comfortable reviewing engineering work as a final stakeholder for sign off before merging.
Leverage emerging AI tools and capabilities to accelerate the product lifecycle, from vetting new ideas and prototyping solutions to analyzing data and optimizing team workflows.
Collaborate daily with a dedicated agile scrum team of engineers and designers to resolve blockers, make informed technical trade-offs, and deliver high-quality features on schedule.
Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal organizations including, Analytics, UX Design and Research, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Care, Programming.
Proactively communicate product plans, progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders at all levels, from your immediate team to senior executive leadership. Pre-empt potential risk and provide effective solutions and trade-offs.
Serve as a subject matter expert on web technologies and the competitive landscape, actively participating in mentoring, training, and self-study to maintain technical proficiency.
Lead cross-platform product initiatives that align web, mobile, and connected device experiences with the broader product strategy.
What You'll Need:
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
8+ years of experience in product management, with a significant focus (+4 years) on building and scaling consumer-facing web applications.
A strong understanding of web technologies, design patterns, APIs, and how front-end and back-end systems interact. Stay current with web technologies through continuous learning and technical engagement.
A proven track record of taking complex technical products from initial conception through launch and continuous iteration, with a portfolio of successful products you have shipped.
Proven experience shipping high-scale, consumer-facing web applications.
A solid understanding of agile methodologies using PjM tools (Jira, Confluence), with demonstrated experience working effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with Engineering, Design, and Project Management to deliver results.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make data-informed decisions.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate concisely and ensure clarity in PRDs, stakeholder updates, and meetings.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Solid team player that brings energy and enthusiasm to the organization.
Digital media experience is a plus, especially online music or video.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience in digital media, especially online music or video.
Experience in an ad-supported business model and familiarity with the digital advertising ecosystem.
