This is a hands-on execution role where you'll work closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders to translate strategic vision into shipped features that make a real difference in employees' daily financial lives

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery & Backlog Management
• Participate in discovery sessions for product or feature set related to employee financial benefits
• Translate strategy and roadmap themes into clear deliverables for one or more scrum teams, ensuring the team knows the "what" as well as the "why."
• Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog for one or more scrum teams, balancing strategic initiatives, compliance requirements, and technical debt in collaboration with engineering
• Write and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria that can be used for automation
• Manage implementation dependencies, risks, scope creep, and raise concerns impacting feature delivery (e.g., surge, priority changes, production issues)

Scrum & Team Leadership
• Lead all scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives)
• Monitor and support delivery performance of the scrum team across sprints, including velocity, quality, and throughput
• Escalate risks or blockers to ensure roadmap commitments are met and make tactical decisions during sprints to unblock the team
• Accept or reject completed work based on definition of done, working with QA to ensure quality standards are met

Collaboration & Design
• Collaborate with UX designers on detailed user flows and wireframes for prioritized features
• Participate in user research with UXR teams to understand employee financial needs and behaviors
• Create and maintain clear feature documentation for stakeholders and partners

Analytics & Optimization
• Build and analyze A/B tests and KPI dashboards to inform feature iterations, measure impact, and feed insights back into the roadmap and strategy
• Track adoption, engagement, and value metrics for deals, offers, and financial wellness features

Expected Behaviors
• Execution-focused: You focus on the "how" and "when" of delivery
• Sprint-minded: You think in sprints and releases (2-week to 3-month timeframes)
• Highly responsive: You're available and responsive to the scrum team's questions
• Decisive: You make quick decisions to maintain team velocity
• Detail-oriented: You have strong organizational skills and sweat the details
• Technically savvy: You deeply understand technical constraints and engineering trade-offs
• Team protector: You protect the team from scope creep and distractions
• Effective escalator: You escalate blockers and strategic questions to leaders appropriately
• Results-driven: You measure success by team velocity, predictability, and delivered value

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in agile software development
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality features on time
• Strong understanding of scrum/agile methodologies and ceremonies
• Proven skill at writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to make data-driven decisions using analytics and A/B testing
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and QA

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
