The minimum requirements we seek:
Proven Core Systems Expertise: 5+ years of experience working within a digital product team, with a strong focus on back-end systems or platforms. Demonstrated expertise in product management within a software or technology company, with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.Collaborative Leadership: Experience collaborating effectively within a matrixed team setup, including offshore engineering teams. Proven ability to influence and coordinate across various digital product services.Strategic Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and advocate for the product vision and strategy, particularly within the context of back-end digital services.Product Launch & Management: A proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products (front-end, back-end, or both) throughout their lifecycle.Analytical & Problem-Solving: Technically proficient with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Data-Driven Decision Making: A strong data-driven approach to product prioritization, utilizing data and analytics to inform decision-making and roadmap development.Technical Acumen: Comfortable engaging in technical discussions and understanding the nuances of backend systems. This position is based in Dunton or Manchester, and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton office or Manchester Business Centre for typically 4 days a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.

As a Senior Product Manager, Platforms you will be responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the lending platform, a critical component of Ford Credit's core modernization initiative, while also managing a key foundational platform. You will be instrumental in ensuring the back-end platform's success in the UK and its future expansion across Europe. You'll work with other product managers, engineers and product designers in a complex and matrixed environment whilst contributing to the roadmap of your area. You’ll be expected to:
Drive Platform Enhancements: Lead the development and implementation of platform enhancements, including new features and functionalities, to support both originations and receivables systems within the lending platform. Maintain and Optimize: Ensure the platform remains current and up-to-date by working closely with external suppliers to address technical updates and implement necessary changes. Roadmap Influence: Collaborate with key stakeholders to shape the development roadmap, advocating for Ford Credit-specific features and functionalities that enhance the platform's capabilities. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders across European markets, including teams responsible for vehicle data, residual value services, and document management. Problem Solving & Innovation: Identify and define business and customer problems within the lending platform, translating them into opportunities for innovation and improvement. Prioritization & Execution: Develop and drive the product roadmap for the lending platform, prioritizing initiatives to ensure maximum impact and alignment with business objectives.
