Amazon’s global Volunteering team is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager who is extraordinary at understanding customer needs and delivering products at scale. You will drive community impact by inspecting, designing, and launching programs and products that motivate and enable Amazon employees to volunteer in communities where they live and work.
The Amazon Community Impact (ACI) team leads philanthropic initiatives focused on education, housing affordability, food security, disaster relief, and volunteering in communities across the globe (https://www.aboutamazon.com/impact/community). Each year ACI’s Global Volunteering team inspires hundreds of thousands of Amazonians to volunteer which helps our communities, our planet, and future generations. We scale our volunteering impact through a network of leaders, community ambassadors, and volunteers at Amazon locations across the globe.
As the voice of our volunteering across Central and South Americas, you’ll be instrumental in understanding the unique needs of business leaders in the region, enabling the growth of community ambassadors, improving the volunteer experience, and scaling Amazon’s volunteering impact. We’re looking for someone with strong program management instincts who can own a product management lifecycle end-to-end. A successful candidate will proactively dive deep into varied customer personas, identify unmet needs, propose process improvements, define product requirements, manage the launch of new resources across the region, and bridge key information to centralized global functions. The Sr. Product Manager must excel at building deep relationships at every level of the company and can influence stakeholders, partners, and leaders in order to build consensus. They have a track record of delivering under ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
Key job responsibilities
- Create and scale a regional volunteering strategy that propels engagement across 10 countries and territories in Central and South America, including new and emerging markets (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Jamaica, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay).
- Work backwards from volunteers, community ambassadors, and business leaders to deliver localized solutions that meet unique needs and align with Amazon’s global volunteering vision.
- Establish and nurture high-trust relationships with internal customers and cross-functional partner teams to uncover pain points and gain alignment on product vision and priorities.
- Champion the adoption of volunteering initiatives and be curious about new approaches to expand program reach and impact.
- Drive a regular cadence of customer engagement to gather insights, launch and promote initiatives, and guide effective product implementation.
- Manage a regional roadmap that prioritizes high-impact improvements and features, using data and customer feedback to drive decisions and tradeoffs.
- Serve as end-to-end product manager for the launch of new resources and tools that support volunteer engagement.
- Create mechanisms to report out success metrics, surface risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders across regions and global functions.
This position is based in corporate headquarter locations in São Paulo, Brazil. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
