At Philips Avent, we’re creating meaningful innovations that support parents and babies worldwide. As Senior Product Innovation Engineer, you’ll combine mechanical engineering with data-driven, connected technologies to bring new product functions to life — from idea to validated prototype.
**Your role:**
+ You’ll play a key role in Philips Avent’s **Research & Advanced Development (R&AD)** team, driving early-stage innovation for our **Breastfeeding and Smart Parenting** portfolio.
+ Lead and contribute to front-end **exploration projects** , developing new product functions through hands-on prototyping, mechanical design, and software integration.
+ Work in a **multidisciplinary, agile environment** , collaborating closely with engineers, researchers, and suppliers to rapidly test, learn, and iterate.
+ Translate consumer and technical insights into functional requirements, build prototypes using **3D CAD, sensors, Arduino, and Python-based data tools** , and present clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
+ This role offers strong **growth potential** , developing your technical leadership and innovation capabilities while contributing directly to Philips Avent’s smart, connected product roadmap.
**You’re the right fit if:**
+ You have a **Master’s or PhD** in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent).
+ You bring **5+ years of hands-on experience** in product or function development, ideally within consumer or medical technology.
+ You’re a **creative maker** with experience in **3D CAD, rapid prototyping, electronics integration, and Python** for data analysis or automation.
+ You have **proven ability to lead technical activities** , coordinate small teams, and present clear, data-driven decisions to management.
+ You combine strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to **balance innovation freedom** and **delivery focus** .
+ You thrive in **dynamic, cross-functional teams** , with strong communication and stakeholder management skills to align and influence others.
+ You have **experience working with international suppliers** and exposure to Asian manufacturing ecosystems (preferred).
