Senior Process Safety Engineer

Indicative Assignment Length: 6 Months Contract Kwinana, Western Australia 

 

Experience / responsibilities: 

 8-10 years engineers from oil & gas background or chemical manufacturing background.  Relevant experience as Process Safety Engineer Experience performing risk assessment and consequence analysis.   Providing technical safety expertise to project teams to support safety in design Facilitating hazard Risk Analysis workshops including Hazard Identification (HAZID); Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) studies. Supporting and coordinating with other disciplines for close out of process safety actions Providing support for risk-based decisions Support Functional Safety Studies/Projects

 

Nice to have:

Formal HAZOP and Functional Safety qualifications. Demonstrable knowledge of the fundamentals of safety & risk engineering. Knowledge of safety regulations and applicable industry codes / standards Excellent report writing and oral communication skills Strong analytical and numerical skills Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment A “solutions mindset” and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities A positive 'can do' attitude to work and the ability to work autonomously or in teams
