What You'll Do:

The Technical Advisor- Extrusion serves as our subject matter expert for our extrusion processes and equipment. Our Technical Advisors drive innovation and excellence.  Working with our Production and Engineering teams to solve customer challenges resolve process issues to meet business and site performance objectives

Work closely with internal and external project engineers in developing processes and tooling that meet customer expectations on cost, quality and delivery of new product development. Build the technical competencies of operators by sharing process knowledge, problem-solving thought process and techniques, and experience. Coaches shift teams to troubleshoot to solve operational issues. Improves operator's knowledge regarding process and equipment functionality and performance. Performs or supports problem-solving and formal root cause analyses. Assist in creating, developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Assist customer complaint investigation and corrective actions for area of expertise. Collaboratively works with maintenance, reliability, and improvement personnel to resolve issues and identify opportunities for improvement. Shares and leverages knowledge, experience, and best practices with applicable stakeholders. Leads and supports targeted process and productivity improvement teams ( e.g., work with improvement and reliability engineers to resolve operational issues). Supports work process and best practice implementation. Contributes to updating and improving the area's operating discipline and procedures. Perform internal compliance auditing to process. Investigates non-conformances and customer complaints regarding products and recommends permanent manufacturing improvements to correct and prevent recurrences. Diagnosing manufacturing problems and recommending corrective and preventative actions Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity. Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in medical devices and a clean room environment context. Convert various units of measurement.

Skills That Matter:

High School or GED Diploma 8 or more years extrusion experience including process/tooling design, setup, troubleshooting is essential. Experience with thermoplastic extrusion processes including a variety of mixes and materials. Hands-on troubleshooting experience. Experience with MS Office Applications. Experience training, coaching, mentoring, and influencing others.
