OCI Cloud Compute is looking for an analytics-oriented Sr. Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive critical projects for the Cloud Compute New Product Introduction (NPI) team. This team is responsible for driving and delivering the introduction of all new cloud compute products from roadmap forecasting, product definition, development, qualification, manufacture at scale, and ultimately general availability to customers.
This role will operate as a group leader across our organization, partnering with other leaders within Compute, Hardware Development, Supply Chain, Networking, Data Center, Region Build, Service Organizations and Operations to define and iterate on new product processes, as well as drive critical NPI for complex Edge Cloud products.
This role requires the ability to work well with others (cross-functional engagement and unifying towards a common goal are regular activities), use high judgement and business acumen to figure out ambiguous project requirements and unblock issues, and manage up and down (reporting to both senior executives and enabling engineers directly).
The Cloud Compute organization operates in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment and requires the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, project planning and the presentation of alternatives. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. They will have a broad scope of experience including hardware and software delivery, cloud hardware development, supply chain, networking, security, compliance, and deployment processes.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years relevant work experience in program and project management in a hardware and/or software delivery field Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering Ability to effectively represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership. Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels including the executive level. Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands. Strong knowledge and understanding of business need with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud services, virtualization, or SaaS products Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment. Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at different levels in the org. Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling. Knowledgeable in PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence Experience using Primavera or similar project, program, and portfolio management tools. Proficiency in Excel (e.g., PivotTables, lookups, if-statements, macros)
