We are seeking talented and self-motivated engineers with strong avionics expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills, who can effectively collaborate with customers.As a systems engineer in our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring successful technical execution of development and providing critical input to Systems Engineering discipline processes in support of the Controls and Avionics Solutions business area. Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) provides flight and mission-critical products to more than 170 commercial and military customers around the world. CAS products include flight controls systems, full authority digital engine controls (FADEC), autonomous flight systems, power management systems, flight deck systems, control sticks, cabin management systems, intermediate and depot level test stands, and mission systems for the world's most prominent commercial and military aircraft manufacturers. Performs systems engineering functions by doing one or more of the following: 1. **Technical Interface** : Serve as a technical interface between BAE Systems and Boeing, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration on engineering projects. 2. **System Design and Development** : Collaborate with BAE Systems and Boeing engineers to design, develop, and integrate systems, subsystems, and components, ensuring compliance with requirements and specifications. 3. **Requirements Analysis** : Analyze and interpret Boeing's system requirements, ensuring that BAE Systems' solutions meet or exceed customer expectations. 4. **System Testing and Validation** : Participate in system testing and validation activities, ensuring that BAE Systems' solutions meet Boeing's requirements 5. **Problem Resolution** : Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working closely with Boeing engineers to identify and implement solutions. 6. **Documentation and Reporting** : Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and presentations to support project activities and stakeholder communications. 7. **Change Management** : Collaborate with Boeing engineers to assess, prioritize, and implement changes to systems, subsystems, and components. 8. **Lessons Learned and Knowledge Sharing** : Document and share lessons learned, best practices, and technical knowledge with BAE Systems and Boeing teams to improve future project outcomes. 9. **Compliance and Certification** : Ensure that BAE Systems' solutions comply with the regulatory requirements, industry standards, and requirements levied by Boeing. 10. **Customer Relationship Management** : Build and maintain strong relationships with Boeing stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and that BAE Systems' solutions meet or exceed their expectations Candidates should possess strong communication skills both written and oral. Candidates should also demonstrate sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing and coordinating with company personnel, customers and suppliers. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree in related engineering field. + Experience with the integration of electronic control systems. + 12 years of experience in avionics or electronic controls embedded development, including familiarity with systems such as flight controls or mission systems. + Experience in avionics development including system-level integration, validation, and verification. + Technical writing skills: capable of creating required engineering documentation. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering field. + 15 years of experience in avionics or electronic controls embedded development, including knowledge of flight controls. + Experience with development of formal validation and verification procedures. + Experience developing architectural models using MBSE methodologies and best practices.MATLAB modeling experience. + Familiar with safety critical development including ARP4754, DO-178B/C and DO-254 or equivalent stringent process requirements. + Experience with hardware circuit design, firmware and software. + Knowledgeable of commercial certification objectives and activities. + Strong public speaking skills and willingness to present material to the customer. + Experience with Boeing Test Computing platforms, knowledge with test stands and integration between different hardware. + Adaptable with positive attitude, desire to learn new skills and take on challenges. \#LI-PM1 **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $142205 - $241749 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
