Purpose of the Role: 

The Senior Principal Structural Engineer serves as the technical authority for structural engineering, providing expert guidance, advanced analysis, and high-level design solutions for complex projects. The role is responsible for ensuring engineering work meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance with international codes, industry practices, and client requirements. Acting as a subject matter expert, the Senior Principal Engineer supports project teams in resolving critical technical challenges, reviews and endorses key engineering deliverables, and contributes to the development of innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions. In addition to mentoring and developing engineers across the discipline, the role plays a pivotal part in setting technical direction, and supporting business development activities.

Key Responsibilities: 

Leads Structural discipline on the execution of large-scale, complex engineering projects 

Develop innovative design solutions and ensure high-quality standards.  

Manage structural tasks and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budget and technical requirements to completion. 

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and manage client relationships.  

Liaise with project management to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. 

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers and designers. 

Occasional site visits. 

Qualifications / Skill Set: 

Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field (Master's preferred). 

Registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Member. 

20+ years of experience in structural engineering and design and 5+ years in project leadership. 

Expertise in buildings, structural, infrastructure and foundation design and conversant with Eurocodes and other relevant international codes and standards. 

Familiarity with ground investigation and geotechnical requirements. 

Familiarity with architectural work for plant buildings. 

Knowledge of plant requirements. 

Recognized as a subject matter expert, with a proven ability to advise, influence, and lead on technically complex matters. 

Strong leadership and project management skills.
