Just look up. **Are you ready to go beyond?** **What You Will Do** **The Commercial Engines, Aftermarket Operations organization** is seeking a highly-motivated, capable, self-directed individual for a **Senior Engineer (P5) to own and lead Engine Test Process** in support of the Commercial Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) Program. As an Engine Test Process Leader, your responsibilities will be centered around owning overall GTF Test Yield, establishing world class test processes, executing test investigation standard work throughout our GTF aftermarket network of Disassembly, Assembly & Test (DAT) sites. In addition, responsible for establishing and leading our OEM/MRO Test Council to drive world class test process and controls throughout our network of DAT’s. This role will provide a technical advisory role in the testing of jet engines as well as supporting other functions within our CE Ops DAT Readiness & Excellence Team. **Key Responsibilities:** + Own DAT test yield reporting for GTF DAT network. + Establish an OEM/MRO Test FPY Council to drive joint problem-solving & share learnings “live” for implementation network wide. + Chair and facilitate Vibe IPT to ensure timely engine specific vibe resolution including tech data corrective actions for additional benefits. + Implement process improvements and influence technical data (TD) changes in support of increasing First Pass Yield (FPY). + Lead network wide investigations to identify additional process improvements to increase FPY in partnership with our Quality organization. + Evaluate and evolve inspection requirements e.g. bench vs. post-test, limited work scope BSI to reduce teardown frequency & work scope. + Ensure test readiness for new DAT’s as they are on-boarded leveraging industrial readiness playbook. + Create and maintain accurate testing process standard work leveraging Engine Design & System Integration (EDSI) knowledge & support. + Identify opportunities to increase quality and efficiency through the use of new processes or technology. + Demonstrate a high level of proficiency and working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies. + Expected Travel: 10 - 15% (domestic and international) **Qualifications You Must Have** + Advanced degree and 7+ years of engineering, operations and/or technical experience within an Aerospace manufacturing or engine assembly environment; **OR** Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience. **Qualifications We Prefer** + Bachelor’s degree in STEM field; Engineering preferred + Advanced knowledge and experience working with gas turbine engines ideally within a Disassembly, Assembly & Test (DAT) or FAA Repair Station environment + Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 145 as it pertains to a repair station Quality requirements + Experience reading and/or interpreting engine manuals and overhaul Quality standards + Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma) + Experience working with Microsoft Office, SAP and Solumina G8 or equivalent Engine Maintenance System + Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including senior level management **What is my Role Type?** In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
