Job Duties: Analyze requirements and deliver functional and technical solutions. Implement products and technologies to meet post-sale customer needs. As a member of the consulting organization, ensure that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to client’s satisfaction. Work closely with client to understand and manage expectations, as well as work closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery. Provide engagement delivery services both as an individual and as a team member. Services include identifying needs, developing, influencing and implementing proposals. Support and participate on project teams. Problem solve by applying company policies and procedures.
Work closely with U.S. healthcare payers, Oracle teams, and third-party service providers to develop engagement strategies, propose Oracle solutions, and contribute to project teams. Requirement analysis, problem-solving, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Analyze business needs to ensure that Oracle solutions align with customer objectives by applying industry best practices, product knowledge, and technical expertise. Exercise judgment and business acumen in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for delivering functional and technical solutions in complex application and technology implementations. Collaborate with consulting sales team to provide domain expertise and resolve complex customer issues by designing and implementing solutions.
The U.S. healthcare industry is a complex system comprising providers, payers (health plans and insurance companies), and patients who receive care. The sector must balance ensuring patient access to care while investing in life-saving innovations and advanced technology. Deep industry knowledge is required to develop business models, system strategies, and customized solutions for each healthcare payer.
An Oracle Health Insurance (OHI) Senior Principal Consultant must be proficient in U.S. healthcare domain knowledge and have the technical expertise to configure the Oracle Health Insurance applications for the U.S. healthcare payers. Specific responsibilities include gathering payer system requirements, understanding Medicare and Medicaid benefits structures, and working with Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards. These requirements must be translated into a working system within OHI applications, including Claims, Policies, Authorizations, Product Definition, and Oracle Insurance Gateway. Configuration of OHI applications requires technical proficiency in Java, Groovy, APIs, and Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET). The consultant must also develop custom tools and interfaces that integrate with existing client systems to fulfill business needs. In-depth knowledge, both in, US healthcare domain knowledge and technical knowledge of programming languages is required to deliver solutions for the US Healthcare Payers.
Oracle Health Insurance (OHI) customers—U.S. healthcare payers—require high-end technological systems that process data quickly, minimize human intervention, and maintain high accuracy. The consultant will configure business rules within OHI applications to facilitate claims adjudication, customizing rules to each payer’s needs using programming logic. JETdesigned pages will be leveraged to enable rapid user interface changes, improving speed to market. Business rules, events, validations, statements, and processes within OHI applications will be configured using application programming interface (API) knowledge. May telecommute. (385.32733)
