Senior Pricing Analyst
What You’ll Do: As a Senior Pricing Analyst on the Market Intelligence team at Canadian Tire Corporation, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing competitive intelligence and pricing strategies across multiple banners. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives that incorporate competitive data, ensuring competitive pricing and expanding our market presence. Your expertise will be crucial in driving our pricing strategies and ensuring we stay competitive in the market. Key Responsibilities: + Expansion & New Strategic Initiatives: + Strategize Expansion Plans: Develop and implement strategic plans for expanding pricing frameworks to other banners. + Project Planning: Create detailed project plans with clear timelines and milestones for expansion initiatives. + Onboarding & Data Management: Onboard buyers and teams to new data interfaces, ensuring they have the necessary training and support. Support and manage competitive data requests and inquiries in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completion. + Data Analysis and Insights: + Comprehensive Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis on various pricing zones to provide actionable insights. + Reporting & Insights: Generate reports on pricing trends and communicate findings to senior management. + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, and finance to align pricing strategies with business objectives. + Zone Pricing Management Support: + Dealer Inquiries & SKU Management: Address dealer inquiries, manage bi-annual SKU selection, and maintain SKU validity and accuracy. + Competitive Analysis: Submit and analyze competitive data to ensure accuracy and relevancy. + Strategic Initiatives: Support strategy improvements and process enhancements for zone pricing efficiency. What You Bring + Strong business acumen with atleast 2 plus years of relevant experience in pricing analysis or a related field (e.g., Merchandising, Promo Planning, Marketing) within retail or related industry + University degree in business administration, marketing, finance, economics, or a related field. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word ); experience with data analytics tools such as KNIME and BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and/or SQL is preferred. + Proficiency in French would be an asset. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail . + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels within the organization and externally with dealers. + Demonstrated leadership skills to provide thought leadership, influence stakeholders, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders of varied levels, representing a broad range of functions. + Proven experience in strategizing and developing strategies for new initiatives. + Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced business environment with rapidly changing priorities + Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
