Senior Post Silicon Lab Engineer
Description The Role The Senior Post Silicon Lab Engineer will own the lab and related lab requirements for the Kuiper MODEM Post Silicon team. In this role you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the lab, ensure safety standards are met, support Bring-up and validation board reworks, manage inventory of secure SOC, Boards and lab equipment, work with vendors to ensure instrument calibration and repair. In addition, you will support setting up test benches and own validation execution. Key Job Responsibilities • Bring-Up and support debug of validation boards arriving from Assembly house. Own the secure storage, distribution and inventory management of these boards. • Work with Engineers and vendors, to identify and purchase required bench top instruments. Ensure periodic calibration and repairs on the same. • Drive future expansion needs. Work closely with Engineers across functions, identify existing gaps, future requirements and design solutions appropriately. • Support Post Silicon Engineers with Board modifications, Board debugs, Design of Experiment and remote debugs. • Ensure the lab meets safety protocols and compliance. Enforce trainings to reduce lab accidents. Document and report accidents in the Post Silicon lab. • Assist with Test Bench setups, Test execution and data analysis. • Will be required to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or above in a technical or engineering related field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, etc. - • 7+ years experience in hardware lab management - • 7+ years experience with building boards, debugging hardware issues and supporting board modifications - • Demonstrated leadership, team management and decision-making abilities. - • Experience using Windows and Linux computers. - • Experience Setting up and designing using a 3D Printer. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
