**About the Role:** **Grade Level (for internal use):** 10 **Senior DevOps Engineer – Job Description** **The Team** Join a high-performing engineering team within our Enterprise Solutions division focused on modernizing infrastructure, streamlining delivery, and strengthening platform reliability across cloud environments. **The Impact** As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in enhancing automation, optimizing deployment pipelines, managing mission-critical infrastructure, and ensuring high availability through strong monitoring and incident operations. **Responsibilities** **DevOps, Cloud & Platform Engineering** + Design, build, and manage scalable infrastructure using AWS (EC2, IAM, EKS/ECS, S3, VPC, CloudWatch). + Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps. + Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform (modules, provider configuration, state management). + Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, Docker environments, networking, and container deployments. **Automation & Scripting** + Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Go. + Build deployment tooling, housekeeping automation, and operations dashboards. **Observability, Monitoring & Alerting** + Configure and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, Datadog, CloudWatch. + Build dashboards, set alert rules, define SLOs/SLIs, and optimize noise levels. + Ensure complete visibility of application health and infrastructure performance. **Incident Management & On-call Operations** + Participate in incident management: triage, troubleshooting, and RCA preparation. + Configure incident response workflows using PagerDuty, OpsGenie, ServiceNow. + Provide on-call support on a rotational basis to maintain uptime. + Lead post-incident reviews and drive corrective actions. **Operational Excellence** + Perform capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning. + Conduct POCs for new DevOps and automation technologies. + Collaborate with development and QA teams on deployments and environment readiness. **(Optional) Exposure to AIOps & MLOps** + Basic understanding of AIOps concepts such as event correlation or anomaly detection. + Exposure to MLOps workflows like model deployment or containerized ML pipelines. **What We’re Looking For** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. + 7–9 years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering. + Strong hands-on experience in Python, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. + Strong monitoring, alerting, and observability skills. + Strong experience with incident management and on-call operations. + Knowledge of middleware: Nginx, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere. + Strong Linux/Unix and Windows administration. + Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. + Familiarity with SAFe Agile preferred. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with reliability automation and monitoring improvements. + Knowledge of distributed systems and container networking. + Clean and modular coding style for automation. + Optional familiarity with AIOps/MLOps concepts. **About S&P Global Market Intelligence** At S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global we understand the importance of accurate, deep and insightful information.
