Responsibilities:
Coordinate all plant maintenance activities including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utilities systems. Design, implement, and improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies and schedules. Analyze equipment performance and failure data to identify trends and recommend engineering solutions. Provide expert-level troubleshooting for critical plant equipment and systems to ensure swift restoration. Conduct technical risk assessments and recommend upgrades, modifications, or replacements of assets. Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and safety and environmental guidelines. Prepare technical scopes of work for maintenance contracts and oversee contractor execution. Develop maintenance plans and engineering specifications for shutdowns, refurbishments, and major overhauls. Control maintenance budgets and ensure alignment with plant reliability and availability goals. Monitor spare parts usage, support inventory optimization, and liaise with procurement for critical materials. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives. Promote engineering innovation and digital solutions to support smart maintenance and asset management. Develop and maintain accurate documentation, including P&IDs, single line diagrams, asset registers, and maintenance logs. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations for engineering and maintenance personnel. Coordinate cross-functional activities with production, safety, and project teams to ensure operational alignment. Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related field). Advanced training in maintenance management or asset reliability is an advantage. In-depth understanding of heavy industrial maintenance practices Expertise in maintenance planning, root cause failure analysis, and equipment lifecycle management. Working knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations. Experience with ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance manuals. Strong leadership and people development skills. Structured, methodical, and solutions-driven mindset. Ability to work under pressure and deliver in dynamic field environments. Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.Experience and Skills Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in plant maintenance engineering, including at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role, ideally in the mining or heavy industry sectors. Familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP PM, Pragma, etc.).What We Can Offer You:
