Your Role:

MilliporeSigma in St. Louis, MO, is looking for a Senior Planning & Scheduling Specialist.  In this role you will establish, manage, review, and communicate the master production schedule for select items, to achieve Business Unit objectives for customer service and resource management. You will be a subject matter expert that is capable of running cross-functional supply chain improvements while clearly communicating complex data in an easy-to-understand format.

Responsibilities:

Plan and control all scheduling activities supporting assigned items, including reviewing MRP and releasing shop ordersPrepare and issue batch records to production while monitoring shop floor activities to ensure promise dates are metDevelop and maintain performance tracking metrics and systems to track forecast vs. actual performanceParticipate in the testing of system-wide developments and act as a departmental technical resource throughout the implementation processCreate documentation for training and enhancement requests for system development, leading discussions and training sessions for implementationsClearly communicate complex data and supply chains to business teams and train identified personnel on aspects of SAP or supporting systemsLead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity, eliminate waste, and streamline processes in production planningUpdate and revise plans for changes in lead times, order quantities, service levels, and sourcing locations, while developing long and short-term capacity models to identify potential operational constraints

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or other technical field2+ years in planning/supply chain management or scheduling functions using an MRP and/or ERP system1+ year of experience creating and analyzing data using SAP and/or MS Access, Excel and Word

OR

High School diploma or GED6+ years of experience in planning/supply chain management or scheduling functions using an MRP and/or ERP system2+ years of experience creating and analyzing data using SAP and/or MS Access, Excel, and Word

 

Preferred Qualifications:

APICS Certification such as CPIM and/or CSCPLeadership ability in process improvement techniques to reduce costs, improve service levels and manage capacity Strong analytical abilities with problem solving techniques, unconditional commitment to teamwork and communication
