Oil & Gas Wood is recruiting for a senior pipeline/piping designer to join its UAE business unit focusing on preparation of general arrangement drawings, isometrics, material take-offs, etc. for EPC and FEED projects for a major onshore brownfield project in Dubai, UAE.

This role is a full-time office-based role in Dubai, UAE with travel requirement.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior pipeline/piping designer to join our UAE business unit.

Wood has been awarded an onshore project to support an international client operation by providing engineering services plus project management, supply chain, construction, commissioning, EPC management support both within Iraq and Dubai offices. The vision of this contract is to enhance the production by delivering greenfield and brownfield modification projects that include new installations as well as a series of modifications to the existing facilities. A team of engineers and designers based in Dubai and Basra supports in execution of these projects.

Celebrating long service provides an opportunity for the business to demonstrate their appreciation of the hard work, dedication and many years' services of our employees at 5-year service milestones Key objectives Must have hands-on experience in preparation of general arrangement drawings, isometrics, material take-offs, etc. for EPC and FEED projects Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Interdisciplinary check of all civil/structural/electrical/instrumentation drawings Produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD Experience of 3D modelling using PDS will be an added advantage To assist in the coordination of all activities related to the discipline Preparation of pipeline route studies, desktop studies based on survey inputs, overall route maps, key plans, alignment sheets, station approach drawings, alignment sheets, pipeline typical construction drawings, etc. in accordance with project specifications, international codes and standards will be an added advantage Knowledge in specification and design basis Be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance Maintain the required technical quality of work Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the change control process Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed schedule Capable of working in brownfield scopes with understanding of other discipline interfaces Qualifications

Expected:
