About this team
A day in the life:
Provide effective and timely first line P&C support and counsel to employee and manager (especially Store Managers) inquiries on various P&C related topics including assisting to interpret defined P&C policies and procedures.Provide coaching and advice on career development, recruitment practices, succession planning, compensation and performance management, diversity & inclusion and other HR practices.Prepare and administer termination notices and related documentation around termination of employment.
Qualifications:Bachelor of Business (Human Resources Management degree preferred).5 years+ experience in P&C BP/generalist experience, ideally in the retail or hospitality (or other similar fast paced) sector.Experience working in multi-cultural and cross-cultural environmentsExperience coaching and developing team capabilities; trusted partner with skills to support leaders to lead from clarityConsulting and collaboration skills – skilled at consulting with wide variety of partner types.Strong knowledge of employment law and ability to apply to a variety of situations.Experience managing employee records (HRIS), and working with other HR Systems.Personal responsibility to see issues through to resolution and meticulous attention to detail.Integrity – Do what they say they will do, by when they say they will do it.Open to giving & receiving feedback – they feel there is always more to learn and have a willingness to admit failures.

About this team
The Senior People and Culture (P&C) Advisor is a credible business-oriented solution provider and trusted advisor. You deliver generalist support for our stores especially and SSC across Japan, including, counsel and guidance in talent management, employee relations, development, absence management and you actively manage all aspects of people related matters autonomously and to ensure a proactive level of support is provided to the business with your manager support.

Employee Relations
Offer first line ER support, in partnership with People Practices, for all Retail ER cases, including disciplinary up to and including termination.As required in partnership with people practices, lead and conduct investigations regarding violations of our company’s standards of conduct etc.In partnership with P&C Manager and in some cases with people practices, ensure compliance for all corporate policies & procedures, and all local laws.Performance Management
Support Store Managers through coaching performance management and improvement in order to assist in improving employee’s performance with Regional Manager.Facilitates and offer guidance to managers on the Performance Improvement Process (PIP).Provide the inside analysis reports for Regional Manager and Country Manager for mid-year and year-end review by supporting P&C Manager.Talent Development and Workforce Planning
Support P&C Manager with delivery of annual people programs including Pace, compensation review and bonus programsProvide Workforce Planning advice and support hiring managers to determine future resourcing needs and develop plans for retention, and recruitment based on NSO’s, predicted skills gaps, and employee turnover.
People Operations
