This position would be located in Oshkosh, WI or Evansville, IN office.
The Payroll Manager will be an important leader as Amcor is in the process of integrating a large recent acquisition of 15,000 employees into Amcor’s systems and processes. Leads all Payroll Processing and Payroll Tax team members and has a strong dotted line to other HR Shared Services teams within Amcor. Ensures compliance with legislative changes and industry trends while managing the preparation and execution of the organization’s hourly and salaried payrolls for North America; including Canada and Puerto Rico.

Geographic Scope: United States, Canada and Puerto RicoNumber of colleagues directly reporting to this job: 7Execute human capital processes including goal setting, performance reviews, human capital planning, and career development for all direct reportsManage payroll functions for accuracy, timely completion, and compliance with corporate policies/procedures; ensure all locations are compliant with ever changing local, state and federal lawsOversee Canadian payroll process, including ensuring compliance with all Canadian lawsSupport Payroll HRIS team members in providing continuous improvement and efficiencies to HR systems (Workday, Oracle, ServiceNow, UltiPro, and Kronos)Manage vendor relationships, including tax filing and garnishment servicesEnsure all taxes, contributions to benefit programs, and other deductions are withheld from paychecks and filed with agencies according to guidelinesEnsure all payments are made timely and accurately to colleagues, agencies, etc.Interpret federal and state government regulations as they relate to payroll; keep abreast of new developments and changes, monitoring compliance and conducting audits, along with developing strategies to minimize riskManage the filing and issuance of amended tax returns and Forms W2c, along with overseeing quarterly, yearly and weekly reportingOversee all non-routine and/or unscheduled payroll transactions, including voiding payments, HR recoupments, issuing stop payments, and issuing replacement paymentsConsult with Corporate Finance & Accounting and Tax departments on reporting of payroll data to the general ledgerRespond and troubleshoot questions and resolve errors from HR Operations, Finance & Accounting, Legal, Tax, and Payroll/HRIS team members SLA’s compliance and reporting to customer organizationsUse of ServiceNow for case tracking and reportingWhat We Value
