Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Senior Payroll Lead to support a large Canadian retailer with an Oracle Cloud implementation. This is an initial 6 month, fully remote contract opportunity. They will be a an essential resource that will be responsible for the following: · Providing leadership, planning, and direction to the payroll implementation team · Oversee and manager process/reporting improvements · Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions · Ensure compliance with provincial and federal payroll law taking into consideration how this impacts wages · Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates · Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures · Collaborate with the implementation partner and ensure the needs of the organization are met We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements · Formal payroll education from the National Payroll Institute (NPI) or equivalent experience · Subject Matter Expert in payroll and ability to communicate effectively to share this knowledge with the team · Possess at least 10 years of relevant and progressive payroll experience · Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience · Proven involvement in payroll implementation projects specifically cloud payroll system · Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes · Skilled in engaging with, anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are represented · Familiar with current systems and processes related to Payroll including the current payroll general ledger structures · Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of delivering results while meeting tight deadlines · Enjoy working as a team and collaborating with others to meet shared objectives while maintaining a high level of detail · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially with Excel null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
