Senior Partner Engineer

What You'll Do

Provide day to day support for technical questions from external partner stakeholders

Lead the development of project plans by driving solution designs, timeline forecasting, task break-down, and testing strategy

Develop integration support material and documentation for new products rollouts and feature updates

Collaborate with Product + Eng leadership to build out partnership roadmaps

Serves as an overarching SME and point of escalation for internal and external teams facing technical challenges

Maintain clear, professional, and proactive communication with external partners to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables, while fostering strong, long-term relationships

Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination, share insights, and drive projects to successful completion while maintaining open and constructive communication

Provide feedback on integration strategy, potential product enhancements, and operational workflows 

What We Look For

4+ years experience in a Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, or any other customer-facing engineering role

Ability to read and understand multiple programming languages

Experience with long-term project planning and execution

Experience with Ecommerce technologies and data models

Thorough understanding of JSON, HTML, REST API, and Webhook technologies

Thorough understanding of the following concepts: integrating UX elements w/ backend services, frameworks, and 3rd party developer APIs

Experience with observability tools and applications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong project management skills, capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders to stay on schedule

Passion and drive to change consumer banking for the better


Pay Grade - L
Equity Grade - 6

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)

USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $160,000 - $210,000
USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $142,000 - $192,000
