**Job Description** **UW Medical Center-Northwest Plant Engineering** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Senior Painter.** **WORK SCHEDULE** + 100% FTE + Monday - Friday + Day Shift; 7:00am - 3:30pm **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** Plant Engineering provides engineering, repair & maintenance services to the main hospital buildings, garage, and grounds. Areas of responsibility include building shell & structures, HVAC, utility, and other critical environment of care support systems. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** + Become a part of an exceptional team supporting mission-critical environment of care at Seattle and WA State's No. 1 Hospital + Excellent benefits including health insurance, retirement benefits, etc. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLIITIES** + Proactively assesses painting needs throughout facility and submits work requests when painting needs to be performed + Instructs and manages all painters contracted to complete specific projects + Assists management with annual budget by estimating painting portion expenses + Installs and maintains wall guards, kick plates, tack boards and bumper rails + Install and repairs wallpaper and vinyl wall covering; removes stains from ceilings; repairs drywall **REQUIREMENTS** + Minimum of 5 years experience at the journeyman level, in all aspects of painting, wood finishing and drywall required + Completion of recognized journeyman apprenticeship/training program or equivalent experience required + High School graduation, diploma, GED or equivalent **ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST** UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
