**Job Description**
The Senior P6 Planner role contributes to leading and supporting the scheduling and wider project controls function within the Program Controls team. They will be responsible for operating project controls for programmes and major projects and working with Project Managers and more junior scheduling resources to build project scheduling capability.
**Project Planning and Scheduling:**
+ Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
+ Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.
**Resource Management:**
+ Identify, allocate, and monitor resources required for project execution, ensuring optimal utilization and efficiency.
+ Analyze resource constraints and provide recommendations for resolution.
**Progress Monitoring and Reporting:**
+ Track and report on project progress, identifying variances from the baseline schedule and recommending corrective actions.
+ Prepare and present regular status reports and schedule updates to stakeholders and management.
**Risk Management:**
+ Conduct risk assessments related to scheduling and resource allocation, developing mitigation strategies when necessary.
+ Collaborate with the project team to identify potential delays and develop contingency plans.
**Stakeholder Engagement:**
+ Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, ensuring transparency in scheduling and planning processes.
+ Attend project meetings to provide updates on scheduling and planning matters.
**Continuous Improvement:**
+ Analyze project performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement in planning and scheduling processes.
+ Implement best practices in project scheduling and resource management.
**Qualifications**
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
**Experience:**
+ 7+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, specifically in large engineering infrastructure construction projects.
+ Extensive experience with Primavera P6 and other project management software.
**Technical Skills:**
+ Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project lifecycle, and industry standards.
+ Proficiency in resource management, risk analysis, and progress reporting.
**Soft Skills:**
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results under pressure.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
**Certifications:**
+ PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred.
