Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data (PL/SQL) Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Databases, Data and PL/SQL along with experience in modern data platforms and frameworks.
Join this exciting new initiative as a Data Developer.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions to support enterprise applications.
2. Optimize and tune SQL queries and database performance for large-scale, production-grade systems.
3. Design and implement efficient data models and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and scalability.
4. Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.
5. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues to maintain system stability and performance.
6. Contribute to database architecture discussions, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Utilize Git, Jira, and other modern DevOps tools to manage version control and agile workflows.
8. Ensure data security and compliance with internal and industry standards.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

1. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
2. 10+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience
3. Deep expertise in relational database design, query optimization, and performance tuning
4. Proven success in production-grade database systems
5. Understanding of ETL frameworks and data modeling best practices
6. Strong ownership mindset and cross-functional collaboration skills
7. Familiarity with Git, Jira, and modern development workflows
8. Experience within the financial services industry.

 
Good to have:

1. Experience with investment risk systems or financial data workflows
2. Exposure to Python or scripting languages
3. Knowledge of AWS RDS, Snowflake, or cloud-based platforms

Required Level of Education (include certifications):

1. University or Technical Diploma in IT discipline with equivalent experience.
2. Formal Relevant Certification(s) will be nice to have.
