Senior Optimisation Manager – Digital Experience | Sage
As Sage continues its journey of global digital transformation, we're looking for a Senior Optimisation Manager – Digital Experience to help lead the way. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive user-led improvements across our digital ecosystem—most importantly, our global website,sage.com.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on turning data into action, building strategic optimisation programs, and inspiring teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences. This is a fixed-term contract position with the potential to shape long-term change.
This role is hybrid and can be based in either our London or Newcastle office, 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Own the experimentation and personalisation program for one of our key regions, setting the vision and roadmap for optimisation for the priority product journeys onSage.com.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, using data, insights, and user feedback to drive meaningful change.
Inspire and influence cross-functional teams including UX, Insights, SEO, PPC, Content, and Web Delivery to align on optimisation goals and deliver exceptional digital experiences.
- Own and evolve the CRO strategy, ensuring it supports commercial objectives and delivers measurable impact across lead generation, product trials, demos, and e-commerce. Mentor and guide team members, fostering a high-performance culture and developing optimisation capabilities across the business.
- Potential to line manage colleagues within the team, role-modelling behaviours and driving high performance through our LEAD performance management framework.
- Communicate with clarity and impact, bringing stakeholders on the journey through compelling storytelling, data-led insights, and strategic frameworks like SOSTAC.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
You have a strong track record in digital optimisation, with experience leading impactful experimentation and personalisation programs that drive real commercial results. You’ve led and developed high-performing teams and know how to bring out the best in those around you.
You’re highly experienced with testing platforms like Optimizely, and you’re comfortable digging into the data to uncover insights and validate decisions. Your strategic thinking is matched by strong analytical skills—and you can move between the big picture and fine details with ease.
Your understanding of UX principles, hypothesis-driven testing, and ideation frameworks gives you a solid foundation to shape the customer journey. You're also confident creating wireframes and turning ideas into tangible solutions.
You know how to communicate at all levels—whether that’s building stakeholder trust, presenting insights to senior leaders, or aligning teams around a common goal. You bring structure, clarity, and confidence to every conversation.
And finally, you’re excited about emerging technologies. You’ve explored or adopted AI tools to drive efficiencies and outcomes—and you’re eager to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital optimisation.
