Senior Optimisation Manager - FTC Job Description: Senior Optimisation Manager – Digital Experience | Sage As Sage continues its journey of global digital transformation, we're looking for a Senior Optimisation Manager – Digital Experience to help lead the way. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive user-led improvements across our digital ecosystem—most importantly, our global website,sage.com. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on turning data into action, building strategic optimisation programs, and inspiring teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences. This is a fixed-term contract position with the potential to shape long-term change. This role is hybrid and can be based in either our London or Newcastle office, 3 days a week. Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Be Responsible For: You’ll lead a team of talented optimisation specialists—setting direction, mentoring, and supporting their professional growth. Your focus will be on building a culture of high performance, experimentation, and continuous learning across the team. Working closely with key stakeholders, you’ll use compelling storytelling and data-led insights to bring people along on the journey. Whether you’re presenting a strategic roadmap or pitching a bold new test idea, you’ll communicate with clarity and influence at every level of the business. You’ll own the global experimentation and personalisation programme—shaping the vision, roadmap, and delivery of impactful tests across our digital hubs. Your work will directly contribute to improving lead generation, product trials, e-commerce activity, and more. Data, insights, and user feedback will guide your every move. You'll champion a mindset of continuous improvement and encourage teams to think creatively, act boldly, and always keep the user experience at the heart of their work. Collaboration will be key—you’ll partner with UX, SEO, PPC, Content, Web Delivery, and Insights teams to ensure our optimisation goals are aligned and outcomes are consistent across the entire digital experience. You’ll also take full ownership of the CRO strategy, refining and evolving it to deliver measurable results that support our wider commercial objectives. Whether it’s increasing conversions or uncovering new customer insights, your work will have a tangible impact on business performance. Above all, you’ll be a mentor and guide—helping your team grow their skills, stretch their thinking, and drive innovation. You’ll also help build optimisation capabilities across the wider business, enabling more teams to test, learn, and win. What You’ll Bring to the Role: You have a strong track record in digital optimisation, with experience leading impactful experimentation and personalisation programs that drive real commercial results. You’ve led and developed high-performing teams and know how to bring out the best in those around you. You’re highly experienced with testing platforms like Optimizely, and you’re comfortable digging into the data to uncover insights and validate decisions. Your strategic thinking is matched by strong analytical skills—and you can move between the big picture and fine details with ease. Your understanding of UX principles, hypothesis-driven testing, and ideation frameworks gives you a solid foundation to shape the customer journey. You're also confident creating wireframes and turning ideas into tangible solutions. You know how to communicate at all levels—whether that’s building stakeholder trust, presenting insights to senior leaders, or aligning teams around a common goal. You bring structure, clarity, and confidence to every conversation. And finally, you’re excited about emerging technologies. You’ve explored or adopted AI tools to drive efficiencies and outcomes—and you’re eager to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital optimisation. Benefits?
