Senior Operations Program Manager
**Job Description** BAE Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experiencedand skilled **Senior Operations Program Manager** to lead, manage and coordinate multiple facets of operational programs within the Mission Solutions Business Unit portfolio. The role involves program execution spanning the management of cost accounts, material budgets, labor scope, and compliance across multiple Mission Solutions programs. The successful candidate for this position will oversee complex tasks, lead senior cross functional teams internal and external to the Mission Solutions Business Unit, manage workflow and staff, identify and spearhead new and organic business growth activities, and develop solutions to mitigate risk at all levels of the Programs. Additionally, the candidate will be part of a BAE Mission Solutions senior management team and be required to present program status and solicit for actions and approvals from the Mission Solutions Director and/or designate, for any assessed business operations decisions. This includes actions across daily business operations, recommendations for improved efficiencies, and organizational resources for the execution of talent acquisition onboarding and termination processes across the resident staff. **Key Roles and Responsibilities:** + Financial & Resource Management: Managing project budgets, resource allocation, and tracking key performance indicators. + Stakeholder Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for program stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, and senior leadership, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. + Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all programs are delivered in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. + Operational Excellence: Analyzing and optimizing business processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. + Business Development: Drives revenue growth by identifying new markets, securing strategic partnerships, and managing high-level client relationships. + Cross-functional Leadership: Coordinating with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver complex initiatives. + Strategic Planning: Defining program roadmaps, setting objectives, and aligning operations with business goals. + Partner with the Mission Solutions HR business partner to implement HR strategies and plans to support business objectives. + Coordinate with appropriate personnel regarding safety, quality assurance, master scheduling, facilities engineering, environmental management, labor/material/overhead/G&A costs, to optimize return on assets. + Develop and implement operational plans and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations. + Engage with budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for operations with divisional task leads. + Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives. + Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimize operations. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline and a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, including five (5) years of demonstrated experience in managing large technical projects in similar size and scope to this role, including ability to plan, develop schedules, organize, and coordinate team members to accomplish assigned tasks. **Additional required skills/experience/certifications:** + Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers with a minimum of 10 years supervisory experience. + Demonstrated ability to analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule, determine risk and meet with Technical Task Leaders and Subcontractor Assistant PMs to execute program. + Proven ability to decompose and resolve complex and difficult problems across a broad range of interrelated domains. + Proven track record of contributing discriminating know-how to business winning pursuits and proposals. + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) for project tracking, reporting, and data analysis. **Security clearance requirement:** Must have a current DoD Secret clearance, or higher. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline and a minimum of 15 years of related work experience. Six Sigma certification. Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) certification. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $136000 - $231200 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
