The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Order Management position is responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of distributed order management capability within the company. This position will identify current and future business needs and design process and system improvements to capitalize on business opportunities while mitigating operational risks. This position is responsible for ensuring the implementation of OD initiatives are completed on time, on budget, and on benefit.
This position is accountable for identifying and executing projects that have a large impact on Office Depot performance. Projects such as stocking strategy process improvement, proprietary inventory management and EOL inventory disposition. This position will have extensive knowledge of the area with proficient leadership skills. This position will provide direct support to a large cross functional leadership team regarding large and small scale projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Develop an end to end stocking strategy capability/structure for the company.
· Execute the company’s order fulfillment objectives by ensuring proper management of active skus that are part of stocking strategy including but not limited to ensuring the sourcing of skus meets all pre-determined stocking thresholds.
· Drive large cross functional projects with the business and IT to ensure the company is able to offer best in class stocking strategy capabilities.
· Manage projects by meeting customer schedules, productivity and customer satisfaction goals, resource management, organizational structure and workload.
· Interface with various departments to understand customer issues and how they impact stocking strategy processes. Participate in key project activities for BSD and Direct to ensure those departments’ business units’ prospective projects are in lock step on dependencies and deliverables to the stocking strategy process.
· Implement and measure departmental processes, procedures, and develops or recommends necessary changes that are customer specific.
· Establish and maintain a professional relationship with senior management between customer and internal organizations.
· Manage to revenue and customer requirement deadlines. Establish, document and manage to internal metrics.
· Demonstrate a commitment to Office Depot core values.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline or equivalent experience
· 7+ years experience in Order Management, Supply Chain principles and/or Fulfillment Operations in a management role
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and G-Mail SQL proficiency a plus but not required.· Reporting tools knowledge is a plus.
· Ability to lead large scale systems and process implementations including training and change management processes
· Organization and project management skills
· Interpersonal, organization, time management and follow through skills
· Ability to work in high pressure situations common to a dynamically changing business environment
· Written and verbal communication skills
