Senior Operational Excellence Engineer
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Provide engineering and technical support to assembly operations, including machining, welding, quality, and manufacturing engineering functions to ensure smooth production flow. + Support product localization initiatives by upgrading process capabilities and transferring technical knowledge to operations teams. + Drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and Lean initiatives through time studies, workflow analysis, Kaizen events, and waste elimination activities. + Support company goals, policies, and operational excellence objectives. + Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Planning, Project Management, and Quality teams to meet production and delivery targets. + Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and corporate documentation to define manufacturing requirements for new or revised part numbers. + Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and assembly issues on the production floor. + Develop and maintain work procedures, and coordinate training for operators and supervisors. + Identify and eliminate non–value-added activities using Continuous Improvement (CI) and Industrial Engineering tools. + Sustain Lean Manufacturing practices through continuous process optimization and standardization. + Support deployment of Lean culture across the organization through coaching, training, and hands-on implementation. + Support departmental and plant-level safety KPIs and promote a strong EHS culture. + Participate in production and project teams to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives. **Who You Are:** + A hands-on engineer who enjoys solving manufacturing problems and driving process improvements. + Action-oriented, resilient, and able to manage ambiguity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. + A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. + Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment. + Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing documents, and process requirements. + Solid communication skills in English, both written and verbal. + Experience applying Industrial Engineering and Lean tools to improve manufacturing processes. + Strong problem-solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation. **Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:** + Experience in mechanical assembly manufacturing, preferably control valves. + Knowledge of test and automation systems. + Hands-on experience with fixture and tooling design. + Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. + Understanding of control valve functions and assembly processes. + Hands-on experience in valve assembly and calibration. + Ability to apply Lean tools for process and workflow optimization. + Fixture and tooling design capability. **Our Culture & Commitment to You:** + At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
