Senior Operational Buyer
The Senior Operational Buyer is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of all required materials for a variety of projects. This role involves making quotes, placing orders, analyzing inventory, following up on orders, resolving issues, and preparing work processes. Additionally, the Senior Operational Buyer will focus on senior-level activities, provide extra capacity during peak moments, and drive the professionalization of the Operational Buyer group. **Your role:** + **Professionalization:** Drive the professionalization of the Operational Buyer group including implementing process improvements and optimizing project/quote/work distribution. + **Material Procurement** : Ensure timely availability of all required materials for various projects. + **Supplier base:** Focus on CLIP improvements, supplier performance and preferences + **Inventory Analysis** : Monitor and analyze inventory levels to maintain optimal stock. + **Quoting** : Prepare and manage quotes for materials and services. Request pricing, lead time and minimal order quantities at suppliers. + **Order Placement** : Place orders with suppliers and ensure accuracy and completeness. + **Order Follow-Up** : Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery. Process order confirmations and arrange pull-ins or alternative options with suppliers where needed. + **Issue Resolution** : Address and resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or materials. + **Work Preparation** : Prepare and organize work processes related to procurement and material management. + **KPI Setup and Reporting:** Establish and report on key performance indicators. + **Stakeholder Management:** Manage and escalate issues for both internal and external stakeholders. This includes issues regarding payment, customs and shipments. + **ERP Preparation and Implementation:** Prepare for implementation of an ERP system. **You're the right fit if:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics or other related field + 5+ years of experience in operational buyer, material planning or supply chain management activities. + Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel + Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems + Stakeholder Management abilities + Experience in Vendor Management + Experience in inventory/Materials Management + Experience in Purchase Order Management **Advantages** + Experience in the Electronics or High-tech industry + Knowledge of Electronic or High-tech components + Continuous Improvements mentality **How we work together** We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
