Overview

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for providing BrightSpring Health technical assistance regarding all network security devices and services within BrightSpring Health’s infrastructure throughout the organization.  The incumbent is responsible for engineering, management, design, troubleshooting, configuring, installing, documenting, and sustaining BrightSpring Health’s overall data and security network environment.

Responsibilities Interfaces with customers and vendors to ensure standards and security are maintained and integrated into all network connectivity activitiesServes as senior support and escalation resource for network outages and network incident remediation within client environmentsConfigures networking gear (e.g., switches, firewalls, routers, WAPs, etc.) in accordance with established standards and client needsInstalls, configures, administers, manages, and maintains all routers, switches, firewalls, software, and appliancesInstalls, configures, administers, manages, and maintains all Networks SwitchesEngineers, documents, and implements DMZ, LAN, and WAN solutionsMonitors systems health, troubleshoots, and coordinates repair with vendors of all systems, appliances, and devicesProvides technical support to users in the fieldParticipates in systems acceptance testing and change management processesReviews system performance with respect to system specification and document variances; produces reports on system availability/statusLogs, handles, and closes all problem tickets within HelpDesk portalEnforces enterprise network and security policiesDevelops operating procedures to support Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Sciences, Systems Engineering or related major or equivalent plus five to eight years of relevant experience installing and maintaining infrastructure Experience with complex, high-volume multi-site networking including architecture, advanced diagnostics and switching and routing protocols (minimum 5 years)Proficiency in managing and implementing layer 2 and layer 3 network designs (minimum five years)Proficient with Spanning Tree Protocol, Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDU) and best practices related to STP configurationExperience with administering, supporting, and troubleshooting VOIP systemsIndustry certification(s) such as CCNA, CCNP, BCNE, etc.Extensive support experience in a global 24x7 environmentA combination of education and less experience may qualifyExcellent customer orientation and capability to direct a high volume, high intensity customer support environmentStrong logic and reasoning abilities to analyze and react to ITSM solution and Telephony dataExcellent verbal, written and presentation skillsProven track record leading call center functions, which includes vendor management and communications across organizationCommitment to deadlines and deliverables, with a “customer first” attitudeAcute sense for customer service is paramount to the success of this role; must be an outstanding customer service-oriented leaderStrong leadership and managerial skillsStrong change management skillsStrong time management and planning skills required to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in a fast-paced environmentAbility to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly languageHighly self-motivated and directedKeen attention to detailSkilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environmentStrong security awareness and focus; fundamental knowledge of security principles, disaster recovery and backup proceduresAbility to work with minimal supervision and handle critical and stressful situationsExcellent people skills with good conflict management and conflict resolution skillsStrong customer service orientationProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentStrong interpersonal and oral communication skillsAdept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manualsAbility to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required About our Line of Business BrightSpring Health Services provides complementary home- and community-based health solutions for complex populations in need of specialized and/or chronic care.
