Position Overview: 

The Sr. Senior Cloud Engineer role will serve as a key member of the Cloud Infrastructure Services team and will be primarily responsible for the compute and storage for the Commercial services US environment. This will include responsibility over the infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Load Balancer) design, build-out (deployment), creation and maintenance of required documentation, as well as monitoring and operational tasks, including ensuring the normal day-to-day operational integrity of the infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Load Balancer) and troubleshooting issues to ensure the stability of the service.

Responsibilities:

Subject matter expert in the design, build, deployment and support of VMWare virtualized platforms with Windows and Linux guestsSubject matter expert in the design, build, deployment and support of NetApp storage platformsSubject matter expert in high availability (HA) deployments of all infrastructure componentsEnsure infrastructure services fulfill resiliency and disaster recovery requirementsAssist in the deployment and support of networking, security and various compute platformsMonitor the performance and availability of deployed infrastructureEnsure regular maintenance of infrastructure components including patch management and end of life planningWrite and review infrastructure design documents, build books and run booksEnsure compliance with change control processes and adherence to compliance standards and policies.Proactively identify problems and capacity constraints using available capacity and monitoring toolsParticipate in planning and design discussions around infrastructure support best practices such as:Automation toolsMonitoring requirementsBackup requirementsSecure management of infrastructureParticipate in day-to-day infrastructure operations, technical guidance and support issue resolutions, including duty pager support throughout the workday, evenings and weekends; in accordance with published Service Level Agreements.

Basic Qualifications

Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or equivalent experience or education is required.Minimum 7+ years IT experience5+ years of High Availability, High Security environments and the requisite rigor needed to operate in that environment5+ years of experience deploying infrastructure for IT services specifically5+ years working with enterprise class Compute / Storage designMust have ability to travel freely to the USA and internationally.Respond to support requests and participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance windowsMust be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

Compensation Range:

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $108,720-$159,456 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan. In addition to your pay, Entrust offers eligible colleagues and their dependents comprehensive health and well-being programs which include medical, vision, dental, a generous 401(k) matching contribution, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off plus 12 paid holidays, parental leave and education reimbursement.
