As a Senior Mobile Automation QA Engineer, you’ll work on a product that helps people with the most precious thing they have — their health. In collaborative teams of developers, designers, product owners, and QA experts, you’ll experience best-in-class software development practices daily and contribute to software that meets the highest expectations — we do not put our users' lives at risk!

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Automation QA Engineer to help us build our next-generation mobile test automation framework from the ground up. In this role, you won’t just be maintaining an existing system; you will be the architect of our future mobile quality strategy, with a direct impact on our technical architecture and tooling. 

As an experienced and entrepreneurial QA Tester, you will support our efforts to make personalised healthcare a reality. You will primarily be working in a global set-up with teams in India, Austria, and Spain. Your area of expertise should span from back/front-end technologies and mobile applications. You will test applications that are fully integrated into a CI/CD pipeline and are based on the latest Kotlin/Swift.

Your upcoming mission:

Architect and implement a scalable, reusable test automation framework that will be used by QA engineers across our iOS and Android mobile applications

Contribute to the continuous improvement of test strategies, automation frameworks, and QA processes.

Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and drive testability.

Analyze and troubleshoot test failures and defects, reproducing bugs and providing detailed bug reports.

Own and drive the strategy to increase test automation coverage, with the clear goal of reducing manual testing efforts across our mobile app ecosystem.

Be the advocate to ensure that we ship safe applications that meet the highest standards.

Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring frequent and reliable releases.

Mentor and collaborate with other QA engineers and developers to foster a culture of quality and share best practices in testing

Essential skills for your mission:

 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

6–9 years of experience in software QA, with at least 3+ years in mobile automation.

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, UIAutomator2, XCUITest, and frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.

Experience with scripting/programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript.

Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, Confluence, TestRail) and version control systems (GitHub).

Exposure to backend/API testing using tools like Postman, JMeter, Katalon,Charles Proxy or similar.

Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong communication skills and professional working proficiency in English. 

 

Bonus skills:

Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.

Familiarity with security, privacy, or medical device regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

Experience working in startups or high-growth product environments.

Certifications such as ISTQB, CASTP, or similar.

Working knowledge of SQL and experience with database validation.

Experience with SAFe Agile frameworks.

In Austria, we have a legal obligation to disclose the minimum salary according to our collective agreement, which is gross EUR 3.843  - per month for this position. But! Rest assured, we offer amazing competitive compensation packages which take into consideration current market trends, therefore you can expect a higher offer that reflects your experience level.
