We are now seeking a Senior Mining Engineer – Ventilation, Projects and Infrastructure to join our Underground team at Tropicana Gold Mine.
Here you will produce ventilation plans and strategies for the underground mine to meet budget physicals in alignment with the mine plan and strategy, consistent with Company’s Vision and Values.
You will also provide leadership and direction to Ventilation Technician Team members.
Role Purpose:
Tp provide support and supervision for project, infrastructure and ventilation engineering related activities on site to enable achievement of the portfolio, meeting all quality standards including cost, safety and environment.
This is a permanent position which is accountable to the Underground Manager and is offered on an appealing 4 days on/3 days off FIFO roster with a quick commute from Perth.
Accountabilities:
Be an active safety leader in line with the company values, policies and procedures
Provide leadership and technical guidance to the underground engineering and ventilation teams
Ensure safety and planning compliance within the underground mining alliance
Manage contactors and infrastructure projects
Implement improvement projects
Hold the Ventilation Officer appointment on site
Opportunity to be appointed as an Alternate Underground Manager as required at a safe and well-established operation
About You

A degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
Have exposure to underground production, ventilation and planning practices
Effective time management and decision-making skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Existing Permanent working rights in Australia (we are able to consider those currently in Australia with existing 482 Employer sponsorship visas in place)
Underground Ventilation Officer Certificate of Competency, or wiliness and ability to obtain competency
First Class Mine Manager Certificate of Competency is desirable
Western Australian “C” class driver’s license
