Ma’aden Barrick Copper Company (MBCC) is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join our team at the Jabal Sayid Mine.

This role plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency through short to long-term mine planning, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safe, optimized extraction of ore.

What You’ll Be Doing

Develop and manage annual budgets, LOM plans, and rolling forecasts for underground mine operations. Oversee short and medium-term schedules aligned with production targets and geological data. Analyze production performance, identify deviations, and lead recovery planning. Support mining contractor coordination through design approvals, stope notes, and planning documentation. Ensure technical quality and statutory compliance in all mine planning activities. Contribute to the growth of a high-performing technical team through coaching and skills development. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives across mining methods, cost control, and safety.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent). 5–10 years of experience in underground hard rock mining, with a strong focus on planning. Proven expertise in: Mine budgeting and equipment cycle calculations Planning for long-hole open stoping and cut & fill methods Ventilation, paste fill, and reticulation systems DESWIK  mine planning software (or equivalent) Familiarity with reporting codes such as JORC, NI 43-101, and business planning processes. Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and backfill engineering. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration across departments. Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
