About the Role 

The Reliability & Integrity Materials, Inspection & Corrosion Engineer role delivers long?term pressure equipment integrity, corrosion management, and technical leadership for the company’s assets. It also provides materials engineering support to brownfield projects within other projects in Australia, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost?effective outcomes aligned with the Woodside standards. 

 

Position: Senior MICE (Materials, Inspection, Corrosion Engineering) Engineer  Location: Perth WA with occasional site visits  Contract duration: 12 months (parental leave coverage)  Start date: Preferably ASAP  Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Responsibilities: 

Oversee integrity management for Woodside’s assets.  Maintain and apply Woodside standards and requirements.  Provide materials, corrosion, welding, NDT, and inspection strategy expertise.  Conduct annual corrosion health checks.  Contribute discipline input to project design and scope documents.  Develop work scopes and drive contractor engineering delivery.  Support construction, inspection, commissioning, and handover activities. 

 

Experience & qualifications:  

10+ years relevant industry experience  in Materials, Corrosion, Pressure Equipment Inspection, Coatings and Risk Based Inspection, Welding  Knowledge of industry standards for materials, inspection, coatings, and welding  Production and Projects Experience   Familiar with SAP and Integrity management systems (e.g. Bently APM)  Engineering degree in Materials or Metallurgy or equivalent  Certifications in API 510, 570, 653, 580, 570, NACE CIP or equivalent looked on favourably
