Senior Mgr, Public Sector Sales & Bus Development, AWS Training & Certification
Are you a strong sales and business development leader who is passionate about working with Defense and National Security Public Sector customers to create transformative workforce training and enablement strategies to deliver upon their missions and accelerate their journey to the Cloud?

We are looking for a Training and Certification (T&C) Sales and Business Development Leader to lead the T&C Dedicated Cloud Public Sector Team supporting US National Security and Defense customers to shape and deliver large scale training and enablement strategies that earn trust with customers, cultivates cloud talent and delivers impact and results.

As the Sales and Business Development leader for T&C’s US Dedicated Cloud Team, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive growth and shape the future of this market for Training and Certification. You will lead a team of Business Development Managers and Operations Specialists to support US National Security and Defense customers in proposing, creating and executing workforce enablement strategies aligned to their missions which drive business impact for customers and grows adoption and revenue for AWS and T&C.

The ideal candidate will possess both a business and technology sales management background that enables them to lead a team of senior business development managers and effectively interact with senior military and civilian leaders. Your solid technical background should enable you to easily interact with staff officers, contracting officials and architects. You have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the customers’ mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions for T&C and our products and services. As a T&C leader, you will collaborate with the AWS account team leadership in the National Security and Defense space to align on account strategies and deepen/expand customer relationships within key accounts. You are a collaborative self-starter who is prepared to lead the team to own, define, develop and execute on a multi-year growth plan that consistently delivers on revenue targets.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive strategic engagement with senior customer and AWS account team leadership, including CIOs and Program Offices, to shape enterprise-wide training and enablement strategies for Dedicated Cloud/National Security/Defense
- Coach and manage a team of Business Development Managers and Operations Specialists setting team and individual goals and revenue plans
- Meet or exceed all sales and business objectives
- Build & maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts and business updates
- Translate mission requirements and business opportunities to T&C leadership, ensuring alignment between customer needs/business requirements and T&C offerings
- Collaborate across teams within AWS and Global Services (e.g., Solution Architects, Product and curriculum, ProServe) that drive strategic impact for National Security customers and AWS
- Lead cross-functional teams in pursuit of strategic opportunities and mission-critical programs
- Present strategic reviews to T&C leadership on business performance and market opportunities development
