Position : Senior Metering Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Metering Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and integrity management of metering systems across Operations Expansion & Start-Up (OES) projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in flow measurement, instrumentation, metering equipment, and compliance with industry standards.
The Senior Metering Engineer will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to support project readiness and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient start-up of new facilities.
Key Responsibilities Metering Engineering & Project Support Develop and execute comprehensive metering engineering plans for OES projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes, regulations, and internal standards. Design, review, and implement detailed engineering specifications for metering equipment and instrumentation aligned with operational and contractual requirements. Integrate metering systems into facility designs by working closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams. Installation, Commissioning & Integrity Assurance Coordinate installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of metering equipment to ensure accuracy and operational reliability. Conduct audits, inspections, and performance assessments to verify system integrity and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Provide technical expertise for diagnosing metering issues and recommending corrective actions or system enhancements. Vendor, Regulatory & Stakeholder Coordination Work with suppliers, contractors, and certification bodies to ensure equipment quality, documentation completeness, and adherence to project specifications. Support preparation of technical scopes of work, participate in tender evaluations, and contribute to budget planning and audits. Interface with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and guidelines. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Stay informed on emerging technologies, metering methodologies, and global best practices. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve system reliability, operational efficiency, and project delivery performance. Lead or support risk assessments related to metering systems, ensuring alignment with safety and environmental standards. Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience Minimum 6 years of experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, process plant, or power generation sector. At least 4 years of hands-on experience in flow measurement, metering systems, and instrumentation engineering. Proficient in flow measurement software and metering tools (e.g., Kelton flow calculation, S600 flow computer applications). Working knowledge of ISO flow measurement standards. Technical Skills Familiarity with Meridium or similar metering/data management systems.
