The Senior Resilience Meteorologist plays a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies for Amazon. • Conduct comprehensive meteorological threat analyses using advanced forecasting techniques and data systems to identify and monitor potential impacts to Amazon's global operations, incorporating government alerts and maintaining sophisticated tracking dashboards
• Serve as meteorological subject matter expert provide real-time analysis and actionable recommendations during dynamic weather events
• Use expertise to analyze operational vulnerabilities across diverse geographical regions to identify long-term risks and opportunities for enhanced resilience strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, and influence policy and procedures.
• Create and maintain comprehensive resilience frameworks and standards that enable risk identification, assessment, and communication, establish clear operational thresholds and escalation protocols, translate Amazon security policies into practical applications, and define performance metrics with timelines
• Partner with stakeholder teams to develop and implement innovative crisis management solutions, support planning and response efforts across business units, establish clear goals and objectives, and manage critical relationships and communications
• Perform analytical deep dives to identify root causes of incidents, determine impacts, and implement corrective actions and additional mitigations
