The New Porgera Limited now has a vacancy for a qualified and experienced individual as Senior Metallurgist
About the roles
Reporting to the Superintendent - Metallurgy, the incumbent will be responsible for developing, application and monitoring of metallurgical systems in the Porgera process operation, including projects development and execution, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and optimise metallurgical performance Provide technical direction to the operations team and support the management team in achieving KPIs Mill reline planning and forecasts Analyse data and develop process improvement strategies Conduct metallurgical test work and trials Coach and support junior metallurgists and technicians Maintain a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant NPL policies & procedures.Ideal Candidate:
A degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field. 3 years' experience in a similar role Solid operational experience in mineral processing Strong data analysis and problem -solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilitiesMobilization Requirement
