📍Remote | Contract | High-Impact Role with a Rapidly Growing Engineering Firm

Our client, a leading engineering firm, is experiencing rapid growth through strategic acquisitions. As they expand their national footprint, they’re seeking a seasoned accounting professional to support M&A activity and ensure seamless financial integration across newly acquired entities. This is a high-visibility consulting role ideal for professionals with deep experience in purchase price accounting, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work closely with internal finance teams, external auditors, and executive leadership to drive strategic impact.

🔑Key ResponsibilitiesLead purchase price allocation and purchase accounting for acquired entities.Prepare opening balance journal entries and business combination disclosures.Conduct valuation analysis using DCF, comparable company, and asset-based methods.Managed due diligence data rooms and reviewed key documents (e.g., asset purchase agreements, closing statements).Analyze and maintain acquisition-related financial records:Income statementsInventory and fixed assets (FF&E)Trust statementsIFRS 16 lease dataEnsure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal accounting policies.Prepare and present acquisition-related reports to senior leadership and external auditors.Support treasury operations, including multi-bank and multi-currency cash reconciliations.Collaborate on system implementation and financial integration projects.🎓QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or Master’s preferred).5+ years of accounting experience inlarge companies($250M+ revenue).Proven experience in M&A transactions and purchase price accounting.Strong collaboration skills with external auditors and executive leadership.Advanced Excel skills; experience with multiple accounting systems (SQL a plus).Exposure to foreign currency, intercompany transactions, and statutory audits.Excellent verbal and written communication.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Commitment to the duration of the contract.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $65.00/hr.
