Senior Merchandising Admin Assistant
DescriptionThe Merchandising team at River Island play a key role in realising the commercial opportunities created by our unique product across all our channels. The Senior Merchandising Admin Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the merchandising function. Responsible for ensuring up to date and accurate information is entered and maintained. Performing analysis and reporting on sales, stock, commitment, intake, markdown and margin as directed by the Assistant Merchandiser & Merchandiser.
\nKey Accountabilities:\nAssists the merchandising team with accurate, concise analysis and administrative support to maximise profit throughout all channels\nDemonstrates commercial awareness, participating in the stocking strategy across all channels. Suggesting action or amendments when needed\nAccurately manage stock inventory\nAccurately manage allocation worklist, in line with agreement from Assistant Merchandiser / Merchandiser\nAccurately maintains Weekly Intake forecasts, responsible for providing relevant and accurate summary of Intake\nResponsible for ensuring promotions and markdowns are correctly actioned and maintained.\nResponsible for maintaining accurate attribution within single view of product\nEfficient use of all merchandising systems. Assisting in creating new or improving existing material\nWork cross functionally with internal teams (Core Merchandising, Distribution Hub and Buying) to identify improvements to ways of working and maintaining consistent accuracy\nUses all available sources including regular store visits, sales and margin history, comp shops, discusses recommendations to positively impact performance\nKey experience required:Previous experience in a MAA or Allocator roleJob role competencies:\nGood verbal and numerical skills\nIntermediate MS Office skills\nComputer literate and ability to learn new systems\nHighly organised, good prioritisation skills\nCollaborative, with strong interpersonal skills\nGood commercial and market awareness\nDisciplined and conscientious, results oriented\nResilient and adaptable\nCurious, continuous learning mindset\nA keen interest in Product and the River Island brand is a must\n
