The Senior Merchandise Planner for Bath & Body Works is responsible for the planning/forecasting of Omni Channel shop and category financials. Generates and analyzes data, and revises the financial plans in support of the business strategies, focusing on Semi Annual Sale. Reports to Manager, Director or AVP of Merchandise Planning. Leads Merchandise Planners or Associate Planners. Must possess the ability to:

Responsibilities

·         Coordinate and communicate financial strategies & interpretation for stores and web channels, Semi Annual Sale architecture, pricing and promotions, margin targets, product exit strategies, timing, planning calendar

Maintain category level forecasts that are updated monthly or more frequently based on needs of the business, inclusive of units, sales dollars, and margin. Identifies trend and promo changes and impacts to businessCollaborate with BBWS & BBWD category teams on Semi Annual Sale buys and inventory targetsHighlight the business opportunities and risks associated with the current financial position and actual performance of the businessPresent business trends and forecast to management in weekly business review, monthly MPR (Monthly Planning Review) and other meetings as neededDevelop long term forecasts to act as basis for seasonal architecture to meet business needsReview and provide hindsights for cross-functional teamCreate and optimize reporting for Omni Channel Semi Annual planning and partner with category teams on reporting needs and opportunitiesProvide the leadership and the necessary formal and informal training, including one-on-one development, needed to support a team that contributes consistent financial growth to the businessActively pursue growth and development opportunities, continually finding ways to improveCommunicate openly and directly; accept responsibility and champion ideas despite challengesChampion change and demonstrating flexibilityEncourage innovation, creativity and risk-taking through influence in teamsFoster teamwork by building strong relationships across functional and division linesSet high personal performance standards that deliver results, convey a sense of urgency and passion for the business, and help achieve goals despite obstacles

Qualifications

5-7+ years retail planning or relevant business experienceProven ability to be a collaborative partner across multiple departmentsOrganized with strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize and meet deliverablesAdvanced technical skill proficiency using Microsoft Excel, and PowerPointAdvanced technical skill proficiency using Arthur and/or MSI tools preferred; other retail planning systems experienceEducationBachelor's degree - finance, operations, economics, business, statistics a plus
