In the role of Senior Medical Equipment Planner, we'll count on you to: Consult, program, plan and coordinate the medical equipment needs of healthcare projectsIdentify possible solutions affecting all areas of medical treatment and processesWith the owner's agreement, independently collect data that affect all areas of the design processDiscuss advantages and disadvantages of specific types of medical equipment, cabinetry and casework, and help clients select equipment for their individual healthcare environmentsPrepare design development and contract documents and specifications for technical projects while ensuring compatibility with drawings and technical conditionsWrite technical specifications in compliance with the outline, maintain master specifications, and ensure that specifications represent acceptable standards and existing laws, rules and regulationsRecommend specifications requirements and content, and oversee the production of completed documents and specificationsDirect the activities of other equipment planning professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as neededMust be able to travel approximately 50%Perform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's degreeExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not requiredIndividuals with experience planning DOD/USACE/VA projects will be given strong considerationPreference given to local candidates

Required QualificationsA minimum of 10 years of medical equipment planning experience, ideally with some project management experience Individuals with a clinical background involving Nursing, Purchasing, Biomedical Engineering or other Clinical specialties will be given strong consideration Significant understanding of medical equipment and the hospital environment Proven ability to interact professionally with healthcare clients and design team members Knowledge of current Medical Equipment technology Excellent customer service skills to develop and maintain relationships Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Access) An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
