Role Summary and Impact 

As a Senior Media Planner at EssenceMediacom, you will be the primary lead for the Dell Technologies account, managing the media planning process from inception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong grasp of performance media, capable of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative and effective media solutions. You will be instrumental in driving campaign success, ensuring meticulous execution, and providing insightful analysis to optimize client outcomes, ultimately contributing to Dell Technologies' marketing objectives.

About the Role: The Senior Media Planner is primarily responsible for the assigned Dell Technologies account and is expected to manage the planning process from start to finish, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage their day-to-day tasks. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the ownership of plan and budget data as it relates to assigned campaigns, the management of plan changes and the consecutive steps, and reporting and maintenance of media activity and its effect on all related outputs, including communication to implementation teams. You will be responsible for planning, negotiating, executing and maintaining media plans, ensuring that final buys deliver on the approved plan, objective and strategy. The Senior Media Planner is also expected to be an expert resource in all operational components of media planning, including standard research analysis (eMarketer, Nielsen, Comscore, Pathmatics, etc.), planning process and timelines, regular accuracy audits, campaign analytics and reporting from different platforms, as well as managing any vendor invoice reconciliations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with planning and the extended cross-functional team to prepare media plans inclusive of: target audience and market analysis, channel mix and budget allocation, scheduling/ blocking chart development, partner selection, developing and reviewing vendor briefs and reporting. Manage tagging and trafficking process, using intricate taxonomy, for proper campaign tracking and reporting. Prepare, analyze and action insights using analytics reports and platform data, to ensure proper pacing of the campaigns every week. Manage day to day plan changes/maintenance of media plans, Financial and IO updates as needed. Liaise with peer teams to ensure deliverables align with overall plan strategies, timelines are met, and programs/results are coordinated and presented holistically to the client. Maintain regular contact with clients, managing communications with multiple client stakeholders. Play a key role in the budget and client billing process to ensure accuracy. Effectively use agency tools to aid in plan development. Oversee the resolution of billing discrepancies. Assist Managers/Directors in all phases of account/client management. Create PowerPoint presentations and manage complex plan blocking charts in Excel. Develop a deep understanding of client needs and strategy. Learn to manage and build client relationships. Write and maintain status and contact reports to ensure efficient workflow to meet deadlines. Acts as a positive role model through example.

Your Skills & Experience:

3+ years of experience. Previous experience in Performance Media is a must; experience in the Personal Tech category is ideal but not mandatory. Self-starter with passion for learning and growth. Attention to detail. Ability to communicate concisely and clearly both orally and in writing. Ability to manage multiple projects and parallel workstreams. Work well in a Team setting with collaboration and overall team spirit and support in mind. Thrive in fast-paced environment. Display superior aptitude in planning and analytics, as well as client-ready presentation skills. Demonstrate mastery of media basics and concepts, specifically knowledge key digital and social platforms. Working knowledge of Syndicated tools (Lens, Telmar, Comscore, etc). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc).
