About the Role

 

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis, supporting sustaining capital projects for a major mining client. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of studies and engineering scopes across multiple operational sites.

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager, with oversight from the Project Manager, and play a key role in delivering high-quality design engineering solutions across both mechanical and piping disciplines.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to design engineering activities for sustaining capital projects. Develop and review technical scopes, proposals, and studies. Provide continuous input and value-add throughout project lifecycles. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met. Work on equipment and systems such as stackers, crushers, conveyors, chutes, wet and dry plants, and hydraulics. Support project execution from concept through to detailed design and delivery.

 

Requirements

Proven experience in both mechanical and piping engineering within mining or heavy industry. Strong background in design engineering, with the ability to contribute to studies and technical documentation. Familiarity with sustaining capital project environments is highly desirable. Experience with equipment such as stackers, crushers, conveyors, chutes, and hydraulic systems. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
