An established and growing medical device startup in Eden Prairie, MN is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative medical products—spanning both capital equipment and disposable devices.

Job Title:  Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager
Location:  Eden Prairie, MN
Salary:  130-170k + bonus

What You’ll Do:

Provide technical leadership and hands-on support across mechanical engineering efforts—from early concept through commercialization. Mentor and manage a small internal engineering team, while coordinating with contract resources as needed to flex with project demands. Lead and contribute to prototyping, testing, and iteration cycles in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, clinical, manufacturing, quality, regulatory) to ensure product and business success. Drive execution with strong organizational discipline and project ownership.What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 7–10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical product development is required Proven track record in medical device development, ideally including both capital equipment and disposable products. Demonstrated ability to thrive in startup-like environments—self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity. Strong prototyping skills, with a willingness to be hands-on in the lab and iterate quickly. Experience managing small teams and working with external design and manufacturing partners. Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
